Greg Halford hints at being in the dark over Rotherham future

Greg Halford has hinted on Twitter that he is in the dark over his Rotherham future and getting the silent treatment.

The utility player, who has had a turbulent six months at the Millers, is currently out in the cold, with boss Neil Redfearn very publicly telling him he has no future at the New York Stadium.

Redfearn has stated in interviews that Halford is free to find another club after returning from an unsuccessful loan spell at Birmingham.

However, in a number of posts on Twitter, Halford has suggested that he has not been told that personally.

Moments after being seen at the club's Roundwood training ground car park on Thursday afternoon, Halford tweeted: "Good to see the communication here is top notch."

He then followed it up with another cryptic post on Friday morning that said: "Wonder if he will speak to me today. Finally tell me to my face what he is telling everyone else #whoknows #probnot."

Halford has not featured for the Millers since a substitute appearance at Brighton in September and has only been in the matchday squad once under Redfearn.

After arriving as the club's marquee signing in the summer, he was dumped from the captaincy after only eight games before later having a reported major fall-out with coach Eric Black.

It is not the first time Halford has taken to Twitter to vent his frustrations at the Millers, blasting "politics" for being left out against Burnley and hinting that he was signed as a striker.
