Nicky Eaden handed temporary reins at Rotherham following Neil Redfearn's sacking

Rotherham have announced that Nicky Eaden will take caretaker charge of the club less than a week after joining.

Eaden was brought in as Neil Redfearn's assistant last Thursday but will now take the reins after Redfearn was sacked on Monday.

The 43-year-old, who left his job at Leicester's Under-21 coach to join-up with the Millers, will prepare the side for Saturday's clash with Birmingham, though is not expected to be in the position for long.

Eaden will be assisted by fitness coach Paul Warne and goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble.

The club have also confirmed that first-team coach Andy Hughes has followed Redfearn out of the door at the New York Stadium.

Hughes joined the Millers from Bolton in early December.
