Rotherham's defeat to Bournemouth in numbers

Rotherham's impressive unbeaten run came to a crashing end as they had their pants pulled down by a rampant Bournemouth at New York on Saturday.

The only positive, and this one is stretching it, is that the loss came in a competition which realistically the Millers had no chance of winning.

Still, it was an eye-opening afternoon for the hosts who suffered their record defeat at their now home.

Here is the game dissected into numbers and it does not make pretty reading.

1 - The number of games the Millers have won in the last 13 games after this sorry defeat.

1 - The number of times in the last 22 years that the Millers have reached the FA Cup fourth round.

1 - The number of times the Millers have won an FA Cup game against clubs in the top two tiers from the last 24 attempts.

1 - The number of times Steve Evans has now exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle as a Football League manager as the magic he associates with this competition went missing.

3 - The number of changes Evans made to his starting XI, with Richard Brindley, Ben Pringle and Paul Green coming into the side.

4 - The number of teams Bournemouth have now scored five or more against this season after making hay in South Yorkshire.

5 - The number of times goalkeeper Adam Collin had to pick the ball out of his net as the Millers conceded five at New York for the first-ever time.

6 - The number of games which the Millers' unbeaten run ends at, their first loss since November 22.

7 - The number of games since the Millers last won on home soil, against Leeds in October, their worst ever run at their new home.

7  - The number of first-half goals the Millers have scored this season after Richard Brindley's early opener.

8 - The number of changes Cherries boss Eddie Howe made to his starting XI for the game at New York.

11 - The number of shots the Millers had on their visitors' goal throughout the 90 minutes.

13 - The number of different Millers players who have found the net this season after Brindley's first goal for the club.

14 - The number of days until Bournemouth next visit New York, this time for a league fixture where they are unlikely to make eight changes. Gulp.

15 - The number of years since the Millers last made the FA Cup fourth round, when they got there by beating Premier League Southampton 2-1 at Millmoor in 2001/02.

18 - The number of shots Bournemouth peppered Rotherham's goal with, operating at a 27 per cent conversion rate.

22 - The number of goals Howe's men have scored in their last six wins.

23 - The number of second-half goals the Millers have conceded in all competitions this season after their capitulation on Saturday where they were breached four times.

28 - The number of appearances it took right-back Richard Brindley to net his first goal for the Millers.

107 - The number of home games since the Millers last conceded five goals, going back to a 5-2 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Huddersfield in 2010.

121 - The number of games since striker Alex Revell was not involved in a matchday squad, going back to a 3-0 defeat to Southend in 2012, after a chest infection ruled him out.

648 - The number of minutes on the pitch since striker Matt Derbyshire scored for the Millers, going back to August.
