WATCH: Rotherham goalkeeper Alex Cairns' initiation song

A football dressing room is a daunting place to walk in to at the best of times, full of cut-throat pranks and relentless banter.

But it is even worse as a new arrival when you are forced to do the dreaded initiation - singing in front of your new team-mates.

And in the modern world of social media and technology, an embarrassing rendition of a player's favourite song is no longer restricted to the confines of the room, it soon gets shared with the world.

That is exactly what happened to new goalkeeper Alex Cairns, who was forced to sing in front of his new colleagues on his first overnight away trip.

With the Millers staying in a hotel ahead of their game with Cardiff, Cairns took the floor as they were eating their evening meal and it was caught on camera by prankster-in-chief Matt Derbyshire.

In fairness to Cairns, a free transfer at the start of the month, he could have gone down the easy route of taking on Wonderwall or something by the Killers. But the 23-year-old instead opted to sing 1997 Eurotrash classic Barbie Girl by Aqua.

And the results are not particularly impressive! Don't take our word for it, judge for yourselves!
