Sheffield Wednesday 0 Rotherham 1: The player ratings

Rotherham's great escape is picking up momentum with a 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

They outplayed the promotion-chasing Owls in the first half and scored through Matt Derbyshire before putting in a heroic backs-to-the-wall defensive show after the break.

The success, which was a first loss in 17 games at Hillsborough for the Owls, keeps the Millers three points from safety.

Here's how the players rated and the chance to add your own.

Lee Camp 8 – Another superb performance from Camp, who made several good saves and was on point with his handling and kicking amid a barrage from Wednesday.

Frazer Richardson 8 – Played his part with some astute defending and is really flourishing with a run of games.

Kirk Broadfoot 8 – Captain Kirk, won headers, made blocks, produced interceptions. Superb.

Richard Wood 7 – Found life tough against Nuhiu at times, but came good with some more warrior like defending at the death.

Joe Mattock 7 – Performed well on his Hillsborough return, producing the sort of solid display that has become the norm.

Greg Halford 9 – Wow. Who his this player playing in front of the back four and where has he been all season. Strong in the air and the tackle, Halford fought for loose balls and broke up play well. Suddenly become a key player.

Grant Ward 7 – His legs and energy mean that Rotherham are a better team with him in it. Still needs to learn when to pass and could have scored early on.

Lee Frecklington 7 – Frecks plays, Rotherham get better results. Although not at the level of last week, he created the important goal.

Richie Smallwood 7 – Playing in a slightly left position, Smallwood battled hard and did what he does best. Should have scored at the end.

Matt Derbyshire 7 – Asked to play in a very different role out on the left, he wrote himself into Millers folklore by scoring the winning goal.

Danny Ward 8 – Led the line impressively before burning out at the end. Enjoyed a particularly strong first half, where he was almost Alan Lee like.

Joe Newell 6 – Brought on for the final 20 minutes, he didn't have too much to do.

Leon Best 6 – Only played in injury time but almost set up a second.

Stephen Kelly 6 – Came on at the death for his first appearance since December.
