Buxton next in for Millers

Former Sheffield Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton has become the third signing of the summer for Rotherham. 

Millers boss Steve Evans continued with his theme of acquiring players who represented Yorkshire clubs last season, bringing the 31-year-old Buxton in having already signed Aidy White and Joe Mattock.

Buxton made over 200 appearances for the Owls, who he originally joined on loan in 2008, but only played 20 times last term. 

"He's an experienced defender and proven Championship footballer," said assistant manager Paul Raynor. 

"It's taken a few weeks to get it over the line but we're delighted to finally have him on board."
