Tottenham midfielder Grant Ward has been rewarded
for an impressive trial period at Rotherham by signing on loan until
January.
The 20-year-old has been training with the Millers
over the last couple of weeks and has scored twice in 45-minute
friendly run-outs against Parkgate and Stocksbridge.
That has been enough to persuade boss Steve Evans
into making a move for Ward, who will stay at the AESSEAL New York
Stadium for the rest of 2015.
Ward, who earned rave reviews from a loan spell at
League One Coventry last season, becomes the eighth summer signing
for the Millers.

Evans said: "Everyone inside the football club, none more so than the players, will be delighted to hear the news that we have now completed the signing of Grant Ward from Tottenham Hotspur.
“First and foremost I must thank Mauricio Pochettino and Paul Mitchell at Spurs for approving the loan.
“There has been significant competition for the lad’s signature, but we took the opportunity to have him with us for a few days, and I was delighted when he informed me this morning that he has chosen us versus several Championship options.
“Grant has a big career in front of him and he now has the opportunity to make steps up the ladder with a successful loan spell with the Millers.”
Ward joined the Spurs academy in 2011, but has yet to feature for the first team.
