Rotherham loanee Vadis Ojidja-Ofoe has returned to parent club Norwich.
The 26-year-old joined the Millers on transfer
deadline day on an initial month-long loan stay and he impressed
during his four appearances.
Then-boss Steve Evans was keen to keep him in
South Yorkshire, though an negotiations over extension with chairman Tony Stewart is thought to be one of the
issues which led to the Scot's surprise exit from the club on Monday.
And despite his positive impact – the Millers
took seven points from the four games he played – the Belgian has returned to Carrow Road.
He Tweeted: “I
wanna thank @rufcofficial and all the fans for the opportunity to
defend their club! I hope the 7/12
is a start of a nice run. So keep going.”
Vadis-Ojidja
scored one goal during his short stay at the Millers, scoring a
penalty in the 2-1 win over Cardiff.
The club later confirmed that they tried to extend the deal but the Belgian decided to return to Norfolk.
Caretaker Eric Black said: "Vadis expressed his desire to return to Norwich City following the conclusion of his loan which is a decision we fully respect.
"We would like to thank him for his contribution whilst with Rotherham United and wish him well for the rest of the season."
