Rotherham have signed Leon Best on a deal until the end of the season after a successful trial.
Best has been training with the Millers for the last two weeks having been without a club since his summer release from Blackburn.
The 29-year-old penned the short-term deal on Monday and goes straight into contention to make his Millers debut against Leeds on Saturday.
Boss Neil Redfearn said: "It is a great signing for us.
“He has undoubted quality, he has played at the highest level and there are still plenty of years left in him.
“His ability is without question. There were a lot of clubs interested in him, so we have beaten off a lot of good sides to secure his signature.”
Best, a former Republic of Ireland international, becomes Redfearn's third signing, following in the footsteps of loan duo Harry Toffolo and Brandon Barker.
Fellow trialists Stephen Hunt and Stephen Kelly are still hoping to win deals with the club.
