Victorious Neil Redfearn denied car parking pass on return to Leeds

Neil Redfearn had the last laugh on Leeds after his former club denied him a car parking pass at Elland Road today.

The Millers manager was returning to Massimo Cellino's club for the first time since his summer exit and he was not allowed in the official car park.

But Redfearn got his own back by masterminding a first win in charge of his new club at the seventh attempt as Joe Newell's second-half header sealed a superb 1-0 success.

Redfearn's time with the Whites last season was blighted by off-field issues, which included Cellino calling him "weak" and sacking his assistant Steve Thompson from under him.

And the Italian's latest stunt did not impress him.

"It's irrelevant what he (Cellino) says," Redfearn said. "It's very childish. I parked in Batley, I'm getting the bus back!

"I managed to get a space somewhere else. I learned it yesterday, Paul Warne drove my car in and parked in his name so they're not that clever!

"It hasn't soured my feelings for the club at all, not towards Leeds United, it's one man and it's his problem."
