Ian Holloway predicts another Rotherham defeat at Blackburn

Chief Rotherham enthusiast Ian Holloway has predicted another defeat for the Millers in his latest Sky Sports tipping column.

The former Blackpool and Millwall manager, who has yet to tip a Millers win this season, believes Neil Redfearn's side will go down to a 2-0 defeat at Blackburn on Friday night.

Rovers are resurgent under new manager Paul Lambert, having won two and drawn the other of his first three games in charge and Holloway believes that momentum will be too much for the Millers to cope with.

"Paul Lambert is on fire. It shows how players can have a reaction to a new man taking over," Holloway said.

"The quality of manager in the Championship now is frightening. So many of these men have won promotion in their careers.

"Blackburn Rovers are a massive club and now Lambert has money to spend after the transfer embargo was lifted; who says they can't challenge at the top end of the division.

"Rotherham have picked up under Neil Redfearn but it's been a case of two steps forward, one back, after last week's defeat.

"I think the confidence and momentum that Blackburn have at the minute might just be too much for Rotherham."

This latest prediction extends Holloway's record to 12 out of 12 for predicting Millers losses, with eight of them turning out to be right.

He also predicted defeats for the win at Leeds and the draws against Preston and Reading.

Just three of his score predictions have been right - 2-1 losses to Brighton and Burnley and the 3-0 drubbing at Derby.
